The Rusted Chain Bike Collective is a collective (hence the name) effort by local cyclists, activists and other members of the community to open up a space to act as a resource for people to obtain or fix their bikes in a safe, non-discriminatory environment that stresses teaching people how to fix their bikes rather than just fixing bikes for people.
We are located at 655 Maguire Blvd. in the public storage center. The unit is an outside unit, and can be seen from colonial as well as maguire. Our current hours are Sundays from 3pm-7pm. We also set up at Audubon Commmunity Market (stardust coffee and video) on mondays from 6pm-10pm. We may be available other times/days, just shoot us an email. RustedChainBikeCollective@gmail.com
Mission Statement
The objective of the Rusted Chain Bike Collective is to offer educational, recreational, and career-building opportunities through bicycling. We will provide access to space, tools, and experience in a safe environment free of discrimination. The Rusted Chain Bike Collective will promote interdependency through cycling, encourage movement towards environmental sustainability, and foster local unity.
